The Details

Song writing is a very personal and subjective matter.  However, if you have a specific purpose and goal to achieve with your song, then there are certain boxes to tick along the way. We can help make sure you tick those boxes and give you a stronger chance of success out in the market.

Maybe you have a finished or part finished piece of music?  Maybe you’re a great vocalist who’s been singing cover songs, but now needs a unique track in a certain genre?  Maybe you have a great chorus for a track but need some extra input in the verses?  Maybe you have some great lyrics, but can’t seem to land on a suitable melody (or vice verse).

Nearly all commercially successful tracks have input from multiple writers.  Many have credits to multiple writers. If you are curious about this, just type a song name/artist in to a search engine with the words ‘song credits’ attached and you likely find the right information and just how many people work on a successful track.

Not all writers are suitable for your genre, so it’s paramount that you are working with someone who knows that specifically.  Having many connections with different artists within music, Moyr Productions will be able to hook you up with a suitable counterpart.  Songs and their structures go through trends.  A song written 10 years ago, will be written differently now…..but you may want a retro vibe?……not a problem, you need to work with a writer who understands the difference.

Further Information

Publishing Royalties

Shared Publishing Royalities
  • There are certain criteria that must be met before we would offer a shared royalty service. That criteria, would be the future purpose of the song, your future ambitions, your current music status and what potential we ascertain for recouping future royalties.
  • When a song is co-written, the co-writer will have an agreed share in the publishing royalties for that song (unless agreed otherwise).
  • The exact split of publishing royalties will depend on how much has been input from either side. If for example we just write the lyrics to one verse out of three verses, we would aim to get around 15% overall.  If it was the chorus, we aim to get 30%. Final figures will be decided on a project by project basis.
  • All pricing examples shown are for shared publishing royalty projects.
  • You do not have to share royalties until a certain number of streams/sales have been achieved, or until a certain amount of revenue has been made.
  • The number of streams/sales and revenue will be stated in you agreement.
  • Moyr Productions use the UK PRS to recoup royalties.
  • Your exact price for a shared royalty project, will depend largely on your previous record sales and potential future record sales combined with the level of song writer you require.
  • If you have no previous history of record sales, we may not be able to offer projects that have shared royalties.
All Royalties Option
  • We will write songs for you and relinquish our rights to future publishing royalties.
  • The copyright and publishing on those songs will be 100% yours.
  • This type of project costs a little more up front, but gives you future piece of mind that you own 100% of it.
  • If you purchase this type of service from us, the details and waiver will be included in your agreement document.

Terms and Conditions

Payments
  • Prior to any project being undertaken, you will be provided with an agreement, that you will need to date and sign (online or on paper).
  • Unless otherwise stated, a minimum 50% deposit will need paying up front, before any work is carried out on your project.
  • Some projects will require a 100% deposit. This will be specified at the bottom the the relevant service page.

Watermarks are used for approval
  • Projects that have not been paid in full, that are sent for approval, will be ‘watermarked’.
  • If it’s a video project, then an actually watermark will be on screen.
  • If it’s an audio project, that ‘watermark’ will either take the form of an audio sound occurring at points throughout, or it will take the form of a snippet of the project, where only the relevant part of it will be sent.
  • If you have paid a 100% deposit up front, all watermarks are removed. You will receive all updates without any watermarks embedded.

  • Each request could contain any number of alterations.
  • Revisions are claimed after the finished project and within 30 days.
